Boots deal sees ‘magic in a bottle’ wrinkle filler price slashed to £10 in flash sale

Fine lines and wrinkles can be the root of insecurities for many, with some even considering injectables to try and combat ageing. But some have avoided going under the needle by investing in a Boots beauty cream that ‘blurs’ imperfections and works ‘instantly’.

The No7 Instant Illusions Wrinkle Filler is said to ‘magic away lines and wrinkles in an instant’, and for today only, it’s been reduced to £10 - much cheaper than cosmetic surgery.

The 30ml tube is usually £17.95, but customers can pick it up for less when they shop online today (March 21) as part of the health and beauty retailer’s £10 Tuesday deals - a weekly flash sale that sees dozens of products reduced to a tenner for 24 hours.

The No7 product boasts a ‘light velvety soft formula’ that creates an illusion that leaves skin looking smoother, radiant and more youthful. The brand explained that the blurring effect is a result of ‘a unique blend of soft focus spheres and reflecting pigments that form a light diffusing cushion on the skin’.

The faux ‘filler’ product can be applied after moisturiser or foundation, but reviews suggest the former is the most effective. No7 instructed to ‘apply directly into the line or wrinkle. Tap gently to fill the line and smooth away the excess product.’

With an overall rating of 3.4 stars, some shoppers have said they saw the effects of the product immediately. One wrote: “Fantastic results, makes wrinkles fade away instantly!!! You do have to touch up after a while but so worth it!”

Another added: “Miracle in a tube - I've been using this wrinkle filler for over a year now. I love it so much I have one with my makeup at home and carry another tube in my purse. I'm 49 years old so I have my fair share of wrinkles.

“The trick to this cream is: use 2 fingers of one hand to open up the wrinkle and use one finger from the other hand to very gently tap it right into the wrinkle. I don't know how it works but there is a notable difference!”

Others have compared it to big name brands like Hour Glass and Benefit, with one beauty buff commenting: “LOVE THIS STUFF! I use it every day as a primer. Prefer using this as a primer over HourGlass, Pat McGrath, Smashbox, ANYTHING from Sephora. I use it as a primer, let it dry, then apply my makeup. Will also use around my eyes as a touch up mid day. LOVE IT!”

Another said: “I have compared this to the Benefit Porefessional pore filler and it really does work. It definitely makes lines and wrinkles appear less due to filling the deflecting light (it doesn't get rid of them but nothing will either) I put it on before makeup but after moisturiser etc and all of my lines (I have a lot) definitely looked a lot less.

“It’s much cheaper than some of the other ones but I know for sure this one works and will certainly by stacking up on it until I find a better one.”

Some customers haven’t got along with it quite as well, though, with one writing: “Applied after foundation, just removed foundation and sat in wrinkles……not the best look. Very disappointed.” A second commented: “I've had this instant illusion for for 2 weeks it is nice and soft but still got my wrinkles.”

It’s important to note that this isn’t necessarily a product that will reduce wrinkles over time - there are other products, like the Olay moisturisers, that work best for long-term results. The No7 wrinkle filler appears to be a quick, everyday fix - and it appears that there’s a knack to using it, as some of the positive reviews have suggested.

Over on TikTok, celebrity makeup artist Jamie Makeup recommended the No7 Wrinkle Filler - a cheaper alternative to the Clarins Instant Smooth - and said the best way to use it is to ‘pat it down and wait for it to dry’ before applying a translucent powder, finishing off with a setting spray.
