Boots confirms Nottingham beauty hall will get a revamp to offer more luxurious experience

This year has been all about the 'glow-up' with beauty lovers everywhere finding ways of looking and feeling good with the power of beauty and skincare goods.

Whether we've been looking after our skin and hair while lounging in our PJs at home or trying out make-up looks for big nights out, the lure of beauty buys is as strong as ever.

In fact, since pandemic restrictions lifted Nottingham-headquartered Boots has recorded an 85% increase in sales of cosmetics, with blusher, brow products and false lashes being among the top sellers.

Now, the company has decided to revamp 30 of its much-loved beauty halls, filling the shelves with even more brands and offering a more luxury experience in line with flagship stores such as Covent Garden and The Trafford Centre store in Manchester.

Brand new, revamped beauty halls will be coming to stores across the country, including the Nottingham Riverside Retail Park store.

They will feature trending zones, discovery areas and consultation spaces, with a new range of products including cult brands such as Drunk Elephant, Fenty Beauty and MAC on sale.

Alice Rafferty, Senior Buying Manager, Boots UK said: “We are so excited to be reinventing 30 of our beauty halls across towns and cities in the UK.

"We now have more beauty brands than anywhere else on the high street and will be shaking up our offering in these stores by introducing the likes of Drunk Elephant, MAC, NARS and Fenty making these world-famous brands even more accessible to our beauty-loving customers.

"From our inspirational, new-concept beauty halls to our Boots Beauty Specialists who can give expert, brand-neutral advice."

Boots bosses say the beauty hall revamps have come as figures show that shoppers are sticking to smaller, more locals stores when it comes to buying cosmetics.

To reflect that, the firm says it wanted as many of those shoppers as possible to experience the high-end options on offer at bigger, more luxurious stores and Nottingham was on its hit list of places to update.

Customers will be able to chat to beauty specialists in store and try out products as testers and samples return to the shelves and staff are able to help customers up date their make-up bags.

Boots says shoppers will be able to gain personalised advice from specialists who are even said to be given empathy training to help them understand the needs and feelings of those who come to them for help and suggestions.
