Boots & Beach the latest addition to music festival calendar

Headliner: Lee Kernaghan will feature at Boots & Beach, Port Macquarie.

Summer is coming, and it feels like the live music scene will come good.

The crew at Dashville at Lower Belford in the Hunter Valley will come alive on Friday, December 10, and Saturday, December 11, with the Friday night show headlined by William Crighton (special guests include Jeff Lang and Imogen Clark).

Dashville is also running shows on New's Year Eve, Thrashville on February 11-12, Dashville Skyline on February 25-27 featuring The Black Sorrows, The Gum Ball (April 22-24), and Pig Sty in July (July 2).

The Red Hot Summer Tour is scheduled for January 22 at Roche Estate. The show features Jimmy Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus, Jon Stevens, Diesel, Chris Cheney, and Vika and Linda.

Hope Estate presents Hope Rocks on February 5 with James Reyne, Baby Animals, Choirboys, Models, Boom Crash Opera, and Nick Barker and the Reptiles.

Lest we forget: it was announced last month that Midnight Oil will play the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on February 23 - the band's final tour.

This That Festival on February 26 at Wickham features Client Liaison, Dune Rats, Badrapper vs Luude and more; Scene & Heard on February 27 will be headlined by Grinspoon, Regurgitator and Ratcat.

Under The Southern Stars has been recast for March 11 at Maitland Showground, with the line-up still featuring Cheap Trick, Stone Temple Pilots, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bush, Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary.

Groovin the Moo released its 2022 show dates, with Maitland (at Maitland Showground) on Saturday, April 23 (Canberra April 24 and Bendigo April 30). No acts have been announced.

The organisers behind Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie (May 20-22) released the line-up and dates for their first-ever Boots & Beach country music festival.

The Boots festival runs May 27-29 at Port Macquarie's Breakwall Caravan Park. Pre-sale tickets for members starts December 9.

Talent for the festival includes Lee Kernaghan, Fanny Lumsden, Brad Cox, The Wolfe Brothers, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Amber Lawrence, James Johnston, Raechel Whitchurch, Leah Flanagan, Angus Gill, Jake Davey, Loren Ryan and Billie-Jo Porter.
