Boots £170 'gamechanger’ electric toothbrush gives ‘post-dentist feel’, shoppers say

Boots shoppers have been full of praise for an Oral B electric toothbrush that's currently on offer at the Nottinghamshire-based retailer's stores and online.

The Oral-B iO8 Electric Toothbrush Black Onyx with Limited Edition Travel Case is currently on a better than half price offer at Boots. It's currently on offer - down from £450 to £170 The toothbrush, available in black, white and violet colours.

While it's still not exactly cheap, shoppers have been praising it's performance.

The product details state: " Beyond purely an advance in technology to incorporate world-class engineering - enabling the most thorough, gentle and quiet clean of your life. Beyond design to craft a genuine object of desire – creating a sleek look reserved for the most sought after technology. Sure, when you go from a manual brush to power – it upgrades your clean. But when you go from electric brushing to iO it goes beyond the ordinary to become a truly extraordinary experience that you will see, hear and feel differently."

It has racked up more than 150 five star reviews, compared to 12 one star, rivalling brands like. One shopper said: “Arrived quickly and the brush itself is a game changer. My teeth feel so clean after a dental visit.”

Leaving a review, another said: " I upgraded from my still working electric toothbrush as its performance was waning. WOW - I hadn't realised I should have done this a while ago. Huge difference and definitely worth the price, especially on sale.”

These toothbrushes were highly recommended by my dentist and oh my days was she right!” wrote a third. “You get a genuine just been to the hygienist clean after the first use. I bought it on the special offer which was less than half price so definitely worth the investment. So good that I got the Hubby one soon after and ordered replacement heads at half price.”

On the subject of the toothbrush’s battery life, one customer said: “Amazing teeth clean however if you travel remember to pack you charger every trip. I brush my teeth twice a day for around 2min 30secs and it only lasts 5 days. I would expected a lot more after spending £200 on a toothbrush and knowing how long my old oral b’s lasted.”

According to the price comparison site Trolley.co.uk, the Boots offer is cheaper than the current Amazon price of £196.
