Bootleg Celtic tops featuring Anthony Ralston as IRA gunman being sold online

A rogue firm is selling bootleg Celtic tops – featuring defender Anthony Ralston as an IRA gunman.

The online company is flogging the fake shirts with an image of the Scotland star on the back holding a rifle. Kit providers Adidas and club sponsor Dafabet’s logos are also printed on the front.

Slogans associated with the terror group including “Ooh ah up the Ra” appear on the tops. A source said: “This isn’t something Celtic or Ralston will be happy about.

“He will likely be appalled that his image is being used in this way. Fans can show their appreciation in other ways.

"Presenting Ralston as an IRA gunman is in real bad taste.”

Online store Emerald Custom D-Signs is selling the tops for £27. It produces other shirts featuring Celtic stars Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi.

Ralston, 23, has been at Celtic since he was eight years old and progressed through the club’s youth ranks.

He has played more than 70 first team games for the Celts and has four caps for Scotland.

Celtic, Adidas and Dafabet were approached for comment.
