Boost for Nottingham Forest in Jota pursuit but they face severe competition - report

Exciting forward Jota looks set to leave Benfica this summer after being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.

However, the Reds would face severe competition for his signature from rivals in England, as well as clubs in Spain.

Portuguese outlet OJOGO name Forest as a suitor for the player, but say 'several' sides are keen.

The 21-year-old has struggled to establish himself at the Portuguese giants, but is still seen as one of the country's brightest prospects.

OJOGO add that the recent arrivals of Everton and Pedrinho have pushed him further down the pecking order, making his departure more likely.

Jota can play on either wing or as a number 10.

Last season he played 28 times for Benfica, mainly as a substitute, scoring twice and adding two assists.
