Irish rugby received another boost as preparations continue for the August 22/23 return to action at the Aviva Stadium.
All 407 tests for Covid-19 have been negative following confirmation that the 149 tests done on players and staff from Connacht and Ulster last week came back clear.
Both provinces can now make a graduated return to contact training, and will be followed by Leinster and Munster next week when they return from a break from training.
"The first tranche of the second round of PCR testing has been successfully completed," IRFU Medical Director Rod McLoughlin said.
"The players and staff will continue to undergo daily medical screening and assessment. Leinster and Munster will undergo their second testing round when they return from their mid pre-season breaks".
