Boom! Three-star defensive lineman Ty Hamilton commits to Ohio State

With all of the offensive recruits head coach Ryan Day has been hauling in, some fans have wondered where’s the defensive recruits at. 

Well, one of them is in the Columbus area and he’s staying at home. 

Three-star defensive end Ty Hamilton, the younger brother of current defensive tackle Davon Hamilton, announced on Twitter that he has officially committed to Ohio State. 

The 6-foot-3, 250 pound Hamilton, who is about enter his senior season at Pickerington North High School, is ranked as the No. 31 player in the state of Ohio in the class of 2020 according to 247Sports. But the Ohio State coaching staff believes it has a good one that will develop into something special.

He is the first defensive lineman and the second defensive player in the 2020 recruiting class for the Buckeyes, joining four-star safety Lejond Cavazos.
