Boom! Ohio State lands four-star DB Lejond Cavazos for a second time

There were signs that it was coming, and now we can report for certain that former Ohio State commit, four-star defensive back Lejond Cavazos is back as a member of the 2020 class for a second time.

Many pundits and naysayers mocked Ohio State and pointed to the demise of the otherworldly recruiting enjoyed under Urban Meyer when he decided to retire. They used the de-commitment of Cavazos as a prime examples of an impending fall, but that can no longer be used as evidence of a slide on getting the goods to Columbus.

As a reminder, Cavazos is the No. 22 rated safety in the country according to 247Sports. He originally committed to the Buckeyes back in June of last year, decided to reassess things when news of Meyer’s impending retirement back in December.

But now he’s a Buckeye once again, as Ryan Day continues to prove that he is more than up to the task of running the Ohio State program, despite losing one of the all-time great coaches in Urban Meyer.
