Books listing Hiroshima A-bomb victims aired out

Hiroshima city officials flip the pages of 114 books listing the names of the victims of the atomic bombing on Aug. 6, 1945, to air them out and prevent damp, at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park on Wednesday. The officials took the books from a stone room under the cenotaph and carefully turned each page. Another 5,530 people who died during the year from Aug. 6, 2016 to Aug. 5, 2017 were added to the list. In total, the books include the names of 308,725 atomic bomb victims who have died.
