Bookmarked: Have your say on parking in Garforth and Yeadon

Residents in Yeadon and Garforth are being encouraged to take part in public consultations over parking in the towns.

Yeadon residents have the opportunity to influence a parking strategy intended to encourage and improve access to the area's shops and businesses.

As reported last month by the YEP, Yeadon traders have said their businesses are suffering because of parking problems in the area.

Leeds council says it is putting together a strategy to help it better manage parking in Yeadon for shoppers, commuters, residents, visitors and businesses. You can access the online questionnaire here. Further details about the issue, including public events at Yeadon Town Hall on Thursday 17 February and Saturday 19 February, can be found here.

Garforth parking survey

Recent parking surveys carried out by the council have shown that public car parking space in Garforth is limited, particularly for short visits. A number of local traders in Garforth Main Street have raised issues over the accessibility of shops.

This is still a chance to influence a parking strategy intended to encourage and improve access to Garforth's shops and businesses. You can have your say by clicking here.
