A Leeds organisation has become the seond recipient of the government's new Big Society Awards.
Only a week after Prime Minister David Cameron announced the Big Society Awards, Create Leeds says it is proud its work has been picked out as the second winner of the award.
Create is an award-winning social enterprise. As a not-for-profit company, it is committed to developing innovative training and employment opportunities for people who have been homeless, marginalised or vulnerable.
Cameron said Create was 'an excellent organisation' and a good example of the Big Society in action.
Create CEO Sarah Dunwell said:
"We believe that big problems require big and bold solutions. Create works across the public, corporate and third sectors to deliver real change in people's lives. We are honoured to play our part in The Big Society."
