A bookmaker have coughed up after the Laois hurlers left them with egg on their face last weekend.
Few people gave Eddie Brennan's side a chance against heavy favourites Dublin at O’Moore Park.
This included Paddy Power who enraged Laois fans whey they priced up Tipperary v Dublin for this weekend’s All-Ireland hurling quarter final – ignoring the possibility that Laois could feature.
But when the O'Moore County pulled off a shock 1-22 to 0-23 over the Dubs, many of their fans enjoyed sticking it to Paddy Power.
The bookies were forced to eat humble pie and as a way of apology have offered free bets to those who backed Laois to reach the quarter-finals.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "We’re happy to pay the price for underestimating Eddie Brennan’s boys so we are giving a free €10 bet to our online customers who were brave enough to back them last weekend.
“Given that there’s a 98.9% probability that Tipp will beat them in Croke Park this Sunday, I wouldn’t back them with someone else’s money – so we decided to give loyal Laois fans that option."
