A specialist tour-operator is taking bookings for a 'one of a kind' break to Northern Iceland with flights direct from Newcastle to Akureyri.
Super Break - the only operator to fly direct from the UK to northern Iceland - offers direct return flights, a three night hotel stay and two excursions, from £699 per person.
The trip departs from Newcastle International Airport on February 21, 2020. Holidaymakers can book their place with a £49pp deposit.
Tourists get the chance to see north Iceland's wild coast and venture off the beaten track.
Excursions include trips into the dark to try and see the Northern Lights and visits to Game of Thrones filming locations.
All trips include a Lake Myvatn Adventure – Land of Fire and Ice Tour, which offers the chance to see the region’s magical terrain, including the Goddafoss Waterfall and the boiling mud pools of Namafjall.
Whale watching, baths in a naturally heated lagoon, and snowmobiling are optional add-ons.
