Temperatures have taken a real dip over recent weeks as we are plunged into the full swing of winter.
With just a few weeks until Christmas Day, our attention is turning once again to whether we will experience a white Christmas.
This ideal is embedded in Christmas songs, postcard scenes and even the classic 1954 film of that exact title but the truth of the matter is that it feels as though we hardly actually witness snow on the day.
Bookmakers have now opened bets on the UK experiencing a white Christmas in 2021.
According to William Hill, Edinburgh is the current favourite to see snow on the big day, followed by Belfast.

Bets on Edinburgh experiencing a Christmas snowfall are 10/3, meaning a 23 per cent chance, a £10 stake would win a return of £43.33.
Belfast is up next with 9/2, an 18 per cent chance and a £10 stake winning a return of £55.
The UK last saw snowfall on Christmas Day in 2015, six years ago. It has unbelievably been 11 years since the widespread white Christmas of 2010.
It snows here in the UK for an average of 3.9 days in December, with the Met Office able to forecast snowfall up to five days in advance.
Snowfall is said to be much more likely after the new year however, with January averaging 5.3 days of snowfall and February averaging 5.6 days, according to the Met Office.
