Boohoo shopper shocked by size 14 t-shirt dress that's bigger than man's XXL top

Over the last few months, we've seen many women order clothes online only to be incredibly disappointed with the garment when it turns up.

Some have been sent clothes with gross looking stains on, other items were so small that they barely fit over one leg.

And it seems the problems just keep on coming.

One woman who recently purchased a Freddie Mercury t-shirt dress from Boohoo had a very different issue when it turned up.

There were no suspicious marks and the dress wasn't weirdly sewn but it was ridiculously large.

The t-shirt dress was from Boohoo (Ria Martin)

Ria Martin, 34, purchased the size 14 item of clothing for her friend, Natalie.

The item was priced at £22 but is now on sale for £17.60 from the UK-based retailer.

However when the t-shirt dress arrived at her home in Southampton, Ria was shocked to discover just how big it was.

She shared a photo of her friend holding up the top against herself on Twitter , writing: "Hey @boohoo @boohoo_cshelp, this t-shirt dress is apparently a size 14... Are you having a giraffe??"

Following this she uploaded a snap of the dress alongside a male powerlifter's XXL size top and the difference was unmissable.

She later told MailOnline: "It's mad! I usually find Boohoo to be quite generous in its sizing, but this is utter madness!

"It'd be massive on my friend's boyfriend and he is a big guy. It looks like it's at least a XXXL t-shirt, definitely not a dress!"

Despite the sizing problem, Ria added that she will continue to shop with the company, as they do some great promotions.

"We've come to expect random sizing from them as it's not the first time we've had something like this, it's like a lucky dip and gives us a giggle!"

Mirror Online have contacted Boohoo for comment.
