Boohoo shopper 'gobsmacked' by dress fail with slits that go dangerously high

A Boohoo customer says she was left 'gobsmacked' by an online order which left her red-faced after the dress barely covered her underwear.

Beccy Carr, from the Wirral, felt totally exposed when she tried on the £17.60 Flutter Sleeve Floral Midi Dress, which left little to the imagination.

The 27-year-old's underwear could be seen with the slits in the dress reaching her waist, and the sales administrator took to Facebook to share photos of the embarrassing blunder.

Sharing photos of how the dress appeared online compared to how it looked modelled on her, Beccy wrote: "Expectation vs Reality. (Pardon the knickers). Nice one Boohoo.com."

Others couldn't help but laugh at the images as the post, unsurprisingly, attracted a bit of attention.

One replied: "I'm howling."

Another friend wrote: "Honestly best thing I've seen."

A third commented: "No way!"

It was enough to put off another potential customer, who said: "Well I won't be buying that then hahaha. I was looking at it other day."

Beccy said: "I was gobsmacked. I couldn't believe something could have been made so wrong!

"I've heard absolutely nothing from Boohoo. I've messaged them on Facebook and on Twitter .

"I did laugh though, especially when I showed my mum."

Boohoo has been contacted for comment.

A PrettyLittleThing customer also found herself on the receiving end of an online shopping mishap, as she took to social media hit out at a £15 'cream fleece fabric' jumper which left her resembling 'the Michelin Man' .

Briana Gore, 24, excitedly tried on the outfit when it arrived at her home, but found she was swimming in fabric which hung off her despite ordering a size small.

She said she found the sleeves were far too large, and the whole look was 'cheap and unflattering' - comparing her appearance to the official mascot of the Michelin tyre company.
