Boohoo has a bought a office in the West End in a £72 million deal, and it will be home to the online fashion firm’s London-based brands.

The company said the Soho site is “intended to become home for all London-based product, marketing, technology and central support teams, offering flexible working for approximately 600 of our colleagues”.

The building is at 10 Great Pulteney Street and comprises around 46,000 square feet.

Boohoo, which is making efforts to raise standards across its supply chain following reports of alleged low pay and unsafe conditions  last year, has seen high customer demand during the pandemic.

It said its presence in the capital has grown significantly since it acquired the Karen Millen and Oasis brands in 2019.

Since then it has bought more brands, including the digital assets of Debenhams this year, and some of the Arcadia firms such as Wallis.

The Evening Standard in February reported that Boohoo was searching for between 60,000 square feet and 80,000 square feet of office space, and had looked at the West End as an option.

The Manchester-headquartered firm currently has a much smaller amount of space in the capital, at Euston Tower. It is understood to have in the region of 15,000 square feet there.
