Booger McFarland made an embarrassing mistake about the ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ on MNF

ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast team of Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland is not the best broadcast team in football, to put things nicely. Week after week continues to be, at times, a painful viewing experience filled with many egregious mistakes, mostly by McFarland.

McFarland had another really bad mistake in Monday night’s Vikings-Seahawks game. This one came after Minnesota had a wild pick-six in the second quarter. A few bounces went their way and then safety Anthony Harris ran it back for a touchdown.

McFarland then went on to say that, “These are the type of plays that historically have gone against the Vikings. The Minneapolis Miracle. Plays that are fluke plays that went against this team. I’m sure Vikings fans are saying ‘it’s about time get one of these plays to go our way.'”

But here’s the thing, the “Minneapolis Miracle” did go their way as Vikings WR Stefon Diggs scored a wild TD as time expired in a playoff win over the Saints two years ago. It’s a moment that will never be forgotten in Minnesota.

Here’s Booger getting it wrong, though:

That’s… not great.
