Bono spotted in Dublin pub Toner's just hours after ending world tour in India

U2 star Bono popped into a famous city centre pub last night just hours after stepping off stage half way round the world.

The 59-year-old mega-star finished up the last leg of this year's Joshua Tree tour with the band's first ever show in India when they played the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday night.

After a gruelling leg of the tour that took place in New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the Philippines, the singer could be excused if he wanted to head home and rest after returning to his hometown for Christmas.

But instead the energetic star stunned punters by popping into Toner's on Baggot Street last night for a drink and happily posed for pictures with fans.

One ecstatic fan shared pictures on a U2 fans group on Facebook, saying: "Spotted out this evening in Toners Dublin. Must have gone straight from the airport. Jet lag not a bother to him!"

The band's show on Sunday night was their first ever gig in India.

The group played a career-spanning set that included hits such as I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday and In God's Country.

They were also joined by local hero A.R. Rahman for a performance of new single Ahimsa which was written with the Indian musician.

Support act Noel Gallagher then made an appearance to help close out the show with One.

The former Oasis man also joined the band earlier in the show to play 1988 hit Desire.
