Bono's daughter Eve Hewson has been nominated for an IFTA Rising Star award alongside Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan.
The 29-year-old, who is the U2 legend’s second child, is nominated for her work in the lead role of Adele in Netflix’s hit limited series Behind Her Eyes.
The Dubliner is also nominated for Best Lead Actress –Drama for her performance. Meanwhile, Galway-born star Coughlan, well known as Derry Girls favourite Clare Devlin is also nominated for the Rising Star award for her work in Bridgerton.
The 34-year-old earned rave reviews for her role as fan favourite Penelope Featherington in the series set in Regency-era London.
And the Netflix show triumphed as the streaming service’s biggest series ever.
The actress, who is currently filming season two of the period drama, said: “It’s such a huge honour to be nominated for the IFTA Rising Star Award, especially during a time when Irish talent is rightfully having a moment on the world stage.
“This means the absolute world to me and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited!”
