Some residents in Bonnyrigg have been left without clean water after a pipe burst earlier today.
Scottish Water are currently working to repair the pipe on Burnbrae Road - which is now partly submerged in water.
Locals have taken to social media after finding discolored water coming from their taps, while others have reported having "hardly any water" at all.
One resident wrote: "I have hardly any water, couldn't have a shower this morning no pressure."
Others reported similar issues in Rosewell, with one local writing: "Rosewell is the same, my dog groomer just called to cancel appointment cause her water is brown too [sic]."
Ryan Butt lives on nearby Andy Kelly View and shared a photo of his bathtub filled with "brown water".
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Ryan says he first realised there was an issue this morning.
"I noticed when I was going to make myself a coffee this morning and it’s still like this now. I have had my water running into the bath to try and clear it", he said.
He added: "I have had to go out and buy bottled water. I can’t bath or shower, can’t drink tap water, can’t put a washing on and I'm having to give my cats bottled water as well."
A Scottish Water spokeswoman said: “We have located a burst at a water main near Springfield Bank Nursing Home in Bonnyrigg.
"As a result some of our customers in the area may temporarily have discoloured water or low water pressure. We are on site working to repair the burst as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience.”
