Bonnie Ryan says she's 'back to business' after 'best weekend' of her life

Newly-wed Bonnie Ryan has said she is “back to business” after getting married on Friday.

The daughter of the late Gerry Ryan legally married her longtime love John in an intimate ceremony surrounded by her family on Friday at the Dublin registry office.

Bonnie plans to have her second wedding this summer – and says that date will be the date she and John will call her wedding day.

The make-up artist said she had the “best weekend of my whole life”.

“I think out of all Mondays, this was the Monday that I was entitled to have a little bit of a sleep in. "I had the best weekend of my whole entire life, and that was just the legal side of things.

"We are looking at this as our pre-wedding party with our families and in a couple of weeks will be our actual wedding with all of our friends and family for a big celebration.

“That’s the one that we’ll use as our wedding date and that to me and John is our wedding day. So this was our registry, a little party with our family and to get us all excited for the wedding,” she shared with her followers on Instagram.

She revealed on Instagram stories that she needs to find an outfit for her hen party, but she has a “few weeks to go” to find her dress. The Dubliner said it was "back to business" as she told fans she needed to clean the house after the happy weekend.

Bonnie also shared a video clip of herself enjoying her first dance with her new husband, whose identity she has chosen to keep under wraps.

“I’m not waiting on a big moment to ‘reveal’ him or anything. We just keep our relationship offline” she said.

“This is the job I chose but it’s not for him, it’s the most special thing in my life and I take keeping it private very seriously.

“That’s not to say I don’t love seeing other couples and relationships but it’s just not what's right for us.”

The pair have been dating since they were teenagers and got engaged during a trip to New York in November 2019, shortly after buying their first home together.

They had been due to get married in early 2021 but were forced to postpone their wedding due to Covid restrictions.
