Rangers loan flop Bongani Zungu has been branded overweight by his own manager as his nightmare after leaving Ibrox continues.
The South Africa international joined from French side Amiens at the start of the Premiership winning campaign but failed to hold down a first-team place.
With Rangers declining to take up the purchase option on the deal after making just four starts under Steven Gerrard.
The 29-year-old then returned to the Ligue 2 side, who are facing a relegation scrap after a poor state to the season.
He was frozen out of the first-team picture after his late arrival for pre-season training, and manager Philippe Hinschberger insists he is still not ready to go.
He said: "Bongani Zungu is not ready at all to play. His issue is that he has a weight problem.
"He's been working on this for a while and he's now on more than just one session a day. I've spoken to him about it, but the player himself must take charge.
"We're doing the maximum we can with him.
"He remains very good with the ball and can read the game, but he still carries weight and does not have the physique of a professional footballer."
Zungu, who according to reports in the local media returned to training ten kilos overweight, is out of contract at the end of the season with clubs in his native South Africa interested in him.
