Fringe midfielder Bongani Zungu will return to Amiens next season, the French side's boss has confirmed.
Zungu pitched up at Rangers on-loan at the start of the season and Steven Gerrard 's side held an option to buy for £2.5million if he produced the goods.
However, the South African international has failed to make much of an impact and will return to the struggling French second-tier club next season, where he still has one year left of his contract to go.
The 28-year-old made 21 appearances for the Premiership champions this season, but only four of them were from the start and he only started one league game. He failed to score during his time in Glasgow.

And the Bafana Bafana star was banned for six games along with four other Rangers teammates after a Covid breach.
When asked if Zungu's chances of a permanent deal had all but disappeared after the incident, Gerrard responded: “I think that would be fair to say, yes."
Now Amiens boss Oswald Tanchot revealed he will work with Zungu next season after a disappointing campaign with the relegated club are in mid-table.
He said: "This season we have used 40 players which is far, far too much. It's hard to create anything with that turnaround.
"For next season, we won't have the services of loan players Molla Wague and Racine Coly who will return to their parent club.
"But we will have Bongani Zungu back, who has a year left of his contract with us."
