The midfielder linked with a move to Rangers in the summer window has stoked the flames by 'liking' tweets about the move.
Bongani Zungu is currently in France with Amiens and left his last agent in May, sparking suggestions he could look to move away from the recently relegated Ligue 1 club.
The South African, who has been capped 29 times internationally, insists La Liga is his dream destination.
But he could go to Rangers first if his Twitter activity is anything to go by.
The first tweet he liked simply says "Zungu under Gerrard?"
But the second is more interesting because it has Zungu photoshopped into a Rangers shirt alongside Steven Gerrard.
The South African is a massive Liverpool fan and posted various images of him celebrating the Anfield club’s title win on Thursday night.
Speaking about potentially leaving Amiens, he told GFFN: "I almost left in January, and I think the club understands and they know that I’m looking to spread my wings, to get a new challenge, and to be honest I’m ready for that.
"But you don’t know what the future holds.
"I love the club; the president is amazing, and the fans.
"But personally I would like to move on with my career, and hopefully it happens.
"I would love to play in Spain, in La Liga. I think the league is nice, the teams play football, and yeah I would like to hopefully get a club in Spain.
"I would like to play in the Champions League, or maybe one day play in England. I don’t know, you never know! So play in the Champions League, play in England or in La Liga in one of the big teams."
