Bonfires and fireworks display in Bury in 2019

Remember, remember the fifth of November.

We all know it and the date itself is fast approaching when the night sky will be filled with bright, colourful flashes as we gather round a bonfire trying to keep warm in the autumnal weather.

Bonfire Night falls on a Tuesday this year and events to mark the occasion will be taking place across Greater Manchester at parks, clubs and community centres as well as many a back garden.

The date in particular marks the night when Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up Parliament in 1605 and every year, the tradition of gathering together for a fireworks display has followed.

If you're a Bury  local and want to stay closer to home for the Bonfire Night festivities, you can find all the details you need on the local events below.
