Bonfire stock pile set alight in north Dublin prevented from spreading to house by firefighters

Firefighters prevented a Halloween bonfire stock pile set on fire from spreading to a nearby house in north Dublin.

The fire was made by a large pile of wooden pallets.

Two units from Phibsborough and Finglas fire stations battled the fire and also stopped it from spreading to a large stash of tyres.

Dublin City Council's Waste Management Services removed the waste from the scene.

Dublin Fire Brigade posted about the incident on Twitter, saying: "Two units from Phibsborough and Finglas fire stations responded to a #Halloween bonfire stock pile alight today.

"Firefighters prevented it from spreading to a nearby home. The fire was also stopped from spreading to a large stash of tyres."
