Bonfire Night: How well do you know the true story behind Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot?

November 5 is traditionally Bonfire Night, when we celebrate the foiling of Guy Fawkes’ attempt to blow up the King and the Houses of Parliament.

In 1605, he was found with a large amount of gunpowder, after hatching a detailed plot to kill the monarch. When the plan failed, members of the public celebrated by lighting bonfires around London.

The traditions established then survive to this day, with the lighting of bonfires and the burning of Guy Fawkes effigies across the country.

But how much do you remember about the actual Gunpowder Plot itself? Take our quiz to find out.
