Why Bond 25 might NOT be Daniel Craig's last stint as James Bond after all

Daniel Craig is set to hang up his James Bond suit after the latest film in the franchise, Bond 25, with the actor revealing plans to leave the role.

But Good Morning Britain host Ross King has hinted this might not be the case after all, amid speculation of who will be the new Bond.

The cast of the latest film including Craig and co-stars Naomie Harris and new villain Rami Malek, spoke to Ross about what fans can expect.

Ross also spoke with producer Barbara Broccoli, and she hinted to him that it might not be the last we see of Daniel’s James 007, if she has her way.

He revealed to hosts Richard Bacon and Kate Garraway: “Barbara, when I was asking her about it [being Daniel’s final Bond film], she said, ‘I’m in complete denial’ and she is a very powerful lady, as we all know.

“Maybe don’t count out the fact that he might come back for just one more.”

So could Daniel’s exit be not so soon after all, and could we see him in the role one more time?

Daniel didn’t seem to think so, teasing to Ross: “Yes, it’s my last one. Apparently it is.

“I don’t know [what I will miss yet]. I am not thinking about the end. I am thinking about right now. I have got a movie to make and that is all that matters.

“I can’t start thinking about what is going to happen in the next couple of years. We all just want to make the best movie we can.”

Meanwhile, Barbara also addressed reports of a female actress taking on the role.

She said: “I always feel that Bond is a male character, that is just a fact.

“We have to make movies about women and women’s stories but we have to create female characters and not just for a gimmick turn a male character into a woman.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
