Bond 25: Christoph Waltz to return as Blofeld? Actor reportedly spotted on set

After years of speculation, it seems a huge villain will be returning for Bond 25.

Reports state that Christoph Waltz has been spotted on the film’s set at Pinewood Studios and told a visitor: “You haven’t seen me. I’m not here.”

Waltz’s name was notably absent from the cast list for the new untitled 007 outing that is currently in production.

Many had expected the actor to return after being unveiled as Blofeld in 2015’s Spectre. That film saw him attempt to establish a global surveillance network that enabled his group to evade criminal investigations. He was confirmed to be alive at the end of the film after a helicopter he was in was shot down.

Waltz and those closely associated with the film have categorically previously ruled Blofeld out from a comeback in the new film that will star Rami Malek as the film’s chief villain.

But, now a movie executive has told Daily Mail‘s Baz Bamigboye: ”There’s unfinished business between Bond and Blofeld. If I told you any more, I’d have to kill you.”

Cary Joji Fukunaga replaced Danny Boyle as director last year after the Trainspotting director’s screenplay ruffled feathers over at Eon Productions.

Fukanaga’s new script will reportedly follow an arc first presented in Casino Royale (2006)

Bond 25 will be released in April 2020.
