Bon Appetit launches virtual restaurant in Chicago

Some of Bon Appetit magazine’s most popular dishes are now available exclusively in Chicago via Grubhub. | Alex Lau/Bon Appetit

Bon Appétit on Tuesday announced the launch of Bon Appétit, Delivered, a virtual restaurant with menu items straight from the test kitchens of the legendary food magazine’s pages and Instagram feed.

The delivery-only “restaurant” will be operated through Chicago’s iconic Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (LEYE) and delivered via Grubhub in the northern Chicago area.

The dishes’ recipes will be executed by LEYE chefs in one of two independent kitchens, located in Lincoln Park and River North, a spokesperson for the venture said.

Orders can be place from either of these “locations”:

Some of the menu items currently available include: Cauliflower Bolognese, Broccoli Caesar Salad, Lemon and Garlic Roasted Chicken Thighs with Warm Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Cider Braised Pork Shoulder with Butternut Squash, among others. The full menu (which will be rotated seasonally) can be viewed here.

Delivery is available 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 3:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
