MUMBAI: The Bombay high court on Tuesday allowed Humayun Merchant, an alleged close aide of Iqbal Mirchi, to withdraw his bail plea and move the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) special trial court first, after its disinclination to grant him the relief.
Arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last year, Merchant had filed a second bail application before the high court after the first was rejected in September.
