Bombay Bicycle Club hint they'll be at Glastonbury Festival 2020 on BBC Radio 1 show

Bombay Bicycle Club have hinted they may be making a welcome return to Glastonbury in 2020 after performing for Radio 1's Live Lounge session on Clara Amfo's mid-morning show.

After performing their new song 'Everything Else Has Gone Wrong', Clara Amfo started reading out listeners' texts in to the show.

Clara said: "Hello to Jane who says 'Clara I saw Bombay on Tuesday night in Bournemouth it was amazing the whole place was electric and I'm just so happy to have them back and she says Glasto please, any comments?"

The band replied they're "working on it." Clara then said: "Working on it, okay there we go, Emily Eavis let them live, let them live."

The London based-band appeared on the Glastonbury line-ups in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014 and played at Camp Bestival and Wilderness last summer.

Last week, Bombay Bicycle Club released 'Everything Else Has Gone Wrong', their first studio album after an almost six-year hiatus.

So far for Glastonbury 2020 Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift have been announced as the Pyramid Stage headliners for Saturday and Sunday and they were announced before Christmas.

In addition to Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift, Diana Ross is the only other artist officially confirmed for the 2020 addition of the festival.

Aerosmith have self-confirmed they are going and Supergrass are strongly rumoured to be performing at the festival.
