Bomb squads descended on a Scots beach after the discovery of an unexploded device.
Specialist officers were called to Singing Sands beach near Gortenfern in the north east of the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Scottish Highlands on July 9. Coastguard teams in Stornoway were alerted to the incident at 10.14am.
A cordon was placed around the area while waiting for the Explosive Ordinance Department (EOD) to arrive. There is believed to be no threat to the wider public.

A spokeswoman from Stornoway Coastguard told the Daily Record: “We received the call at 10.14am today. The Salen Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) have gone out and cordoned it off and we’re waiting for the EOD to come and dispose of it.
Police confirmed that they were made aware of the incident later on Saturday.
A spokesperson said: “Officers were alerted by the coastguard of an unexploded device found near Ardnamurchan at around 5.25pm on Saturday, July 9. A cordon has been put in place by the coastguard and there is no threat to the wider public.”
