Bomb squad called to Edinburgh shop amid reports of 'possible ammunition' found

A bomb squad has been called to a shop in the centre of Edinburgh.

Cops were alerted to reports of "possible ammunition" on Dundas Street in the city centre around 11.20am on Wednesday, February 19.

Officers have cordoned off an area surrounding the Unicorn Antique store.

EOD teams are currently on the scene dealing with an incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance on Dundas street, Edinburgh, after being alerted to reports of possible ammunition being found.

"A cordon has been put in place with the  Explosive Ordnance Disposal team contacted around 11.20am."
