Bomb disposal teams called to Springburn house after man found dead

Bomb disposal experts were called to a Springburn street earlier today after a man was found dead.

Police officers, forensics and a bomb disposal team were called to a property on Campsie Street on Tuesday afternoon after the sudden death.

The 68-year-old man's body was found around 1.30pm on Monday. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

Police requested the assistance of bomb disposal experts to deal with registered weapons at the property.

It was concluded that there were no risks to the public and the weapons were found not to be related to the death.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 1.30pm on Monday, 25 January, officers were called to a property on Campsie Street, Glasgow, following the sudden death of a 68-year-old man.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
