Bomb disposal team called following report of 'suspicious package'

A bomb disposal team was called after a member of the public found a "suspicious package" in Pembrokeshire .

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they were called to the incident in Rosebush, Maenclochog, on the afternoon of Friday, May 10.

A force spokesman said: "We received a report of a suspicious package found by a member of the public."

He said officers attended and assessed the package, which was recovered safely.

The spokesman added: "Advice was sought from specialist resources and Explosive Ordnance Disposal requested to attend."

What happens after a crime is reported?

After assessing the package, the team confirmed it was not explosive.

The force said no one was injured or unwell in connection with the incident.

An investigation is underway to find the source of the package.

Anyone with information who has seen anything suspicious in the Rosebush or Clynderwen area is asked to call police on 101.
