Bolton Wanderers' home clash against Morecambe tomorrow evening has been postponed after positive coronavirus tests in the Shrimps camp.
Ian Evatt's side were due to play their final game of 2020 at the University of Bolton Stadium tomorrow evening against Derek Adams' outfit.
The Trotters sit 15th in the League Two table and five points from the play-offs heading into the encounter.
The Shrimps meanwhile are fifth and have won their last four games on the bounce.
But a statement from the EFL this evening has confirmed that the Morecambe's next two games against Wanderers and Bradford City have been called off for the time being due to an outbreak of Covid-19 in the Shrimps camp.
The statement read: "Morecambe’s next two Sky Bet League Two fixtures have been suspended.
“The Club has advised the EFL it is unable to fulfil the fixtures due to an outbreak of Covid-19, with players and first-team staff required to self-isolate in line with EFL and Government guidance.
“As a result, the upcoming fixtures with Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City scheduled to take place on Tuesday 29 December and Saturday 2 January respectively, have been suspended and the circumstances surrounding the postponements will now be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations.
“Revised dates for the rearranged fixtures will be confirmed in due course.”
Bolton's next game will be on Saturday, January 2, against Crawley Town.
