Bolton Wanderers trio named in League Two team of the week after Leyton Orient win

Bolton Wanderers central defenders Alex Baptiste and Ricardo Almeida Santos, as well as striker Eoin Doyle, have been handed places in the League Two team of the week.

Bolton claimed all three points with a 2-0 win at the University of Bolton Stadium as the Trotters won their first game of 2021.

James Brophy's own-goal while under pressure from Harry Brockbank handed Wanderers the lead in the second half.

Doyle's 10th goal of the season shortly after were enough to secure the Trotters their first win since the 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town in mid-December.

And the win helped ensure a trio of Wanderers players won a place in the League Two team of the week after the weekend's action.

The team is calculated via ratings from football statistics website WhoScored.com.

Cheltenham Town goalkeeper Josh Griffiths is the man between the sticks, with Baptiste and Santos in front of him as the central defensive partnership.

Salford City's Tom James and Forest Green's Baily Cargill are the full-backs selected.

In midfield, the Port Vale duo of Devante Rodney and Tom Conlon have a place, as well as Harrogate Town's George Thomson and Cambridge United's Wes Hoolahan.

And upfront, Trotters striker Doyle is partnered by Harrogate's Aaron Martin.

The team's boss is Oldham Athletic's Harry Kewell, after his side came from behind to beat the Ammies yesterday.
