Elias Kachunga does not require surgery on the torn thigh while Lloyd Isgrove is expected to be back from a hamstring injury by the end of March as Ian Evatt gave a promising Bolton Wanderers transfer window update.
Kachunga will be out for up to 12 weeks after picking up the problem in the loss to Hartlepool United last week.
The attacker does not require surgery as things stand, and Evatt puts the injury down to Wanderers ' return from a Covid-19 outbreak enforced break and the subsequent two games in the space of four days.

Wanderers have no fresh injury or Covid worries heading into the fixture versus Ipswich Town on Saturday, which could see Aaron Morley handed his Bolton debut.
And on the transfer front, Evatt gave a fresh development confirming that Wanderers are waiting to hear back on a bid lodged on a player, and that 'positive work' is taking place on bringing a striker in too.
Evatt said: "We seem okay. Gethin (Jones) was pretty tired, it was an immense effort to go from 45 minutes in the reserves, get pulled off and play almost 45 minutes for the first team. I thought he was excellent and showed everyone what we’ve missed and other than that, everyone is better.
“Aaron Morley has trained today, did great so we’re looking forward to him, and we’ve got a bid in for a player at the moment which we’re waiting to hear back on and some positive work going on a forward as well, so things are looking positive.”
“At the moment, Kachaunga does not require surgery. Obviously he’s disappointed and I think probably his injury we can put down to the fact that we had so long off with Covid and then had to play back-to-back games at such a high level and intensity. That’s an unfortunate one and we’re fortunate that we didn’t get anymore.
“He’s a fantastic pro, a great character and even though he’s going to have a spell on the sidelines he has a huge part of play with the rest of the group. Getting around the lads, being around the lads, being a leader and being a positive.”
Neither player Evatt refers to is goalkeeper James Trafford, who Wanderers are understood to be closing in on a loan move for from Manchester City.
Isgrove has been out since November, but Evatt insists that Wanderers will be patient with the winger after his surgery as he works his way back to full fitness.
He said: “I think it was a pretty serious injury what he had that required surgery. Lloyd is a speed player and once you severely injure your hamstring, you have to make sure it is at full strength and full capacity before you return because that’s the type of player he is.
“If he loses that then he’s not going to be the same so we have to be patient with Lloyd. At the moment I would think the end of March is likely, but we’ll see what happens.”
