Bolton Wanderers team news and transfer window outgoings update ahead of AFC Wimbledon

Declan John is back available for Bolton Wanderers' trip to AFC Wimbledon this weekend after recovering from a late knock in last weekend's League One opener.

The former Swansea City left-back picked up the slight niggle towards the end of last Saturday's dramatic late 3-3 draw against MK Dons where Wanderers came from behind twice to claim a point.

Liam Gordon filled the position in the midweek victory over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup, as John was not in the matchday squad.

But ahead of the trip to Plough Lane, Evatt has confirmed that John is fit and avaialbe to play, with only central defender Will Aimson out due to a groin strain.

He said: “Everyone is available really. Everyone’s getting fitter and stronger every day.

"Declan’s recovered from his knock at the end of Saturday’s game so he’s fit and available to play. All ready really apart from Will Aimson, who is still struggling with a bit of a groin strain.”

On the transfer window front, Evatt confirmed that some outgoings could be on the cards for some of the younger players at the club.

But the loan departures depend on finding the right club and ensuring that the players in question will get guaranteed minutes on the pitch.

He said: "What we’re looking to do is probably loan out some of our younger ones as development loans really more than anything else.

"Obviously we’ve got a really competitive squad at the moment and especially in the midfield and forward areas, so if we can find the right option that is going to play and suit our young players’ needs and guarantee them game time, it’s a no brainer for us really to give them some development time and get them out on loan playing week in, week out, in competitive leagues, so that’s ongoing and we might have some news shortly with some of those.”
