Bolton Wanderers team news ahead of Walsall and injury update on Harry Brockbank and Andrew Tutte

Bolton Wanderers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of this weekend's clash against Walsall and boss Ian Evatt has given an update on defender Harry Brockbank and midfielder Andrew Tutte.

The Trotters return to League Two action this weekend against the Saddlers on the road.

It will be the first time Bolton have played since the remarkable 6-3 defeat at the hands of Port Vale at the University of Bolton Stadium earlier this month.

Wanderers go into the clash at the Banks's Stadium sitting 12th in the table and three points from the play-offs.

They take on a Walsall side two places and one point behind them in the tightly packed League Two standings.

Heading into the clash, Evatt has confirmed that Wanderers came through last weekend's defeat to the Valiants with no fresh injury concerns.

But he also gave a positive update on defender Brockbank and midfielder Tutte.

Brockbank, 22, has been recovering from a hamstring injury and had originally been expected to be out until Christmas.

But he has since progressed with his rehabilitation and is poised to return to training next week.

There is also positive news surrounding midfielder Tutte, 30, who was expected to be out for the rest of 2020 with a thigh injury.

But Evatt confirmed there is a possibility that Tutte could be back in time for Bolton's trip to face Carlisle United on Boxing Day.

He said: “Harry will be back training next week, which is great news. He’s doing really well.

"Andrew Tutte’s progressing really well. He may be back for Boxing Day. We’re hopeful, but we’ll monitor that and we won’t take any risks.

"Everyone else is absolutely fine, everyone else is doing great and doing really well.

"Touch wood there’s no problems there."
