Bolton Wanderers team news ahead of Morecambe and update on midfielder Kieran Lee

Bolton Wanderers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of tomorrow's game against Morecambe and will have midfielder Kieran Lee back available this weekend.

The Trotters have not kicked a ball in anger so far in February owing to matches in League Two being postponed.

Games against Mansfield Town and Salford City over the past week have been called off owing to waterlogged pitches.

Tomorrow, Morecambe are the visitors to the University of Bolton Stadium for a game which was originally due to be played over the festive period but was postponed too due to a coronavirus outbreak in the Shrimps squad.

Evatt revealed following the postponement against the Ammies at the weekend, that midfielder Kieran Lee was self-isolating after coming into close contact with someone with the illness.

And ahead of the clash against Morecambe, Evatt confirmed that it appears Lee does not have coronavirus himself, with the midfielder not displaying any symptoms and hopes to have him available for Saturday's game against Stevenage..

At the weekend, Evatt confirmed that another unnamed Wanderers player had tested positive for coronavirus, but did not give any specific update regarding that individual.

He said: “Kieran is self-isolating at the moment. He’s had no symptoms so it’s looking like he’s missed it, fingers crossed, which is good news. But other than that, there’s nothing to report.

“He’ll be available for Saturday but obviously he’s self-isolating so he can only train in his house. Luckily for us, Kieran’s had a pretty good football career so I think he’s got an East Wing with a couple of treadmills in and bikes, which has aided his training schedule. But we’re looking forward to having Kieran back.

“Other than that, we’re all good. It was unfortunate the game was off on Saturday but we trained really well. We did a pretty lengthy murderball session on Saturday, 11 v 11, which was great for the lads.

"The quality of the game was exceptional and it was almost you’re picking two XIs and they’re pretty equal to be honest. It was a really good competitive game which was great to see.

"All of a sudden, we’ve now got competition for places and the lads know with the amount of games we’ve got, we’re going to have to rotate and we’re going to have to give opportunities and they’re going to have to step up to the plate.”
