Bolton Wanderers team and injury news update ahead of Cheltenham Town

Bolton Wanderers have no fresh injury concerns and have recorded no positive results in the coronavirus testing programme which has been introduced across the EFL.

The Trotters take on Cheltenham Town tomorrow at the University of Bolton Stadium and are searching for the double over the Robins.

Wanderers emerged victorious in the previous meeting between the two sides at Whaddon Road in mid-December, where Ryan Delaney's late winner secured all three points.

The Bolton squad have been tested twice this week after a EFL-wide testing programme was reintroduced across the Championship, League One and League Two.

Prior to this, two unnamed Wanderers players had tested positive for the illness following an initial round of testing at the start of 2021.

But both of those players have since recovered and are now back in training to give Bolton a boost ahead of tomorrow's game against the Robins after coming through the midweek clash against Exeter City with no fresh doubts.

Evatt said: "We’re tested twice a week and our two tests this week all squad members have been negative which is great news.

"Injury-wise, we’re fine. There’s no issues at all. Kieran Lee told me he felt like a 50-year-old yesterday but feels back to his normal self today, which is good news.

"Obviously he was going to be tired with fatigue and his first game for a while and a surface like that which was very heavy and testing on the body but he’s fine, he’s trained really well this morning.

"All the players have come through fine. The Covid testing went really well so we’re pleased with that everyone is obeying the protocols, both at the club and at home, which is important and we’re raring to go for tomorrow."
