Bolton Wanderers suffer major blow ahead of Bristol Rovers clash

Bolton Wanderers could be without up to three more first-team players for their game against Bristol Rovers this evening.

Wanderers have a wretched away record this season and are yet to pick up a point on their travels, and they now have a mounting injury crisis to deal with ahead of facing the Gas.

They were already missing key players such as Liam Bridcutt, Ben Alnwick, Harry Brockbank, Will Buckley, Liam Edwards, Joe Bunney and Ronan Darcy, and now have three more injuries to contend with.

Jack Hobbs, Sonny Graham and Thibaud Verlinden are fresh injury doubts after their 3-1 defeat at home to Rochdale on Saturday, and assistant manager David Flitcroft is having to keep a stiff upper lip.

"We’ll have a body count," he told  The Bolton News. "Thibaud was carrying something for the last 10-15 minutes, Sonny had to come off with an ankle injury. It’s tough.

"The players are committing to what we want them to do. We are all playing catch-up and everyone knows that. When you seem to be on that path, getting players up to a certain speed, we get a couple of setbacks. That’s the challenge.

"We’ll look at the stats and plan the trip down to Bristol based on what we have got available."
