Bolton Wanderers striker up against Port Vale midfielder and Cambridge United's Paul Mullin for League Two award

Bolton Wanderers striker Eoin Doyle has been nominated for the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) League Two Fans' Player of the Year.

The forward was Bolton's top scorer with 19 goals last season as the Whites sealed automatic promotion to League One with a top three finish.

Doyle ended the campaign as the division's joint second top scorer alongside James Vaughan of Tranmere Rovers.

Cambridge United talisman Paul Mullin was the division's top scorer with 32 goals and is nominated for the award too.

Four other players are in line for the accolade, the winner of which is voted for by supporters.

Exeter City forward Matt Jay and Harrogate Town striker Jack Muldoon are also on the list.

Port Vale midfielder Tom Conlon and Salford City's Ian Henderson complete the six players nominated for the award.

The winner of the Championship award has been former Bolton loanee and Blackburn Rovers marksman Adam Armstrong after a remarkable season in front of goal.

And in League One, the award was claimed by Jerry Yates of Blackpool as the Tangerines sealed promotion back to the Championship via the play-offs.
