Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Wigan Athletic - Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Dapo Afolayan good

James Trafford - 6

Did not have a great deal to do in the first half except pick the ball out of his net, and did what he had to do when called into action after the break.

Will Aimson - 7

Defensively fairly sound with challenge and though distribution out of the back remains an area to improve upon, put in a great cross for Bodvarsson to nod home equaliser.

Ricardo Almeida Santos - 7.5

Wanderers captain generally came out on top of one v one encounters as game wore on after nervy start. Booked for pushing Max Power over but a solid performance overall.

George Johnston - 7.5

Put in several decent blocks and interceptions throughout against his old side in a good individual performance in the back three.

Gethin Jones - 7

Returned to the team after compassionate leave and put in a decent showing on the far right of the pitch at wing-back on his first game in a month.

MJ Williams - 6

Added some physicality in the middle of the park for Wanderers and fairly solid in possession, but taken off for Kyle Dempsey as Ian Evatt opted for more attack-minded players to try and get back into game.

Aaron Morley - 7

Some nice balls from young midfielder in the middle of the park in his first taste of a Wigan v Bolton game. Generally reliable in possession with lovely range of passing.

Kieran Sadlier - 6.5

Remained in the team but moved to left wing-back to cover the absent Declan John. Struggled in early stages but grew in influenc as the game progressed.

Dapo Afolayan - 7.5

Looked bright at times and drew fouls from James McClean in first half. Much more involved in the second half as Wanderers improved and became one of the chief attacking threats for Wanderers.

Dion Charles - 6

Starved of service in the first half and had difficult first 45 minutes but did not stop running thoughout. Replaced by Bakayoko.

Elias Kachunga - 5

Came into the team for Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and some nice touches at times but back to goal for much of first half. Did not last much of second half before being replaced by the Iceland international.

Substitutes:

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 7.5

Introduced before the hour mark and played alongside Charles and scored crucial equaliser with fantastic header to earn Wanderers a deserved share of the spoils.

Amadou Bakayoko - 6

Good energy off the bench fresh from his international exploits with Sierra Leone and worked well with Bodvarsson.

Kyle Dempsey - 7

Showed quality on the ball off the bench and linked up with Morley in the middle of the pitch and Jones on the right flank.
