Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Exeter City - Gethin Jones good in League Two loss

Matt Gilks - 6

Produced a couple of important first half saves to preserve Bolton's clean sheet. Stood still for the equalising goal.

Gethin Jones - 7

Put Wanderers ahead with first half strike and had a fairly solid game, though perhaps could have closed down Williams more for the equaliser.

Ricardo Almeida Santos - 6

Continued after early injury scare and had battle with Ryan Bowman throughout.

Alex Baptiste - 6

Got forward to support attacks often in the first half, but didn't do so as much after the break. Made some important challenges at times.

Declan John - 6

Returned to the starting team after missing last weekend's win over Morecambe and showed his quality in the forward areas, but was caught out defensively.

MJ Williams - 6

Picked up yellow card in first half but otherwise had solid game, distributed ball fairly well in the middle of the park.

Kieran Lee - 6

Some nice touches from the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder but taken off midway through second half with an injury.

Lloyd Isgrove - 6

Some dangerous moments from the ex-Swindon Town winger and caused problems at times - replaced by Gnahoua after the break.

Antoni Sarcevic - 7

Made his first start since mid-March and produced lovely touch to set up Jones for opener - was taken off just after the hour mark.

Oladapo Afolayan - 6

Won several free kicks with his pace and trickery and tracked back to help out defensively. Substituted in the closing stages.

Eoin Doyle - 6

Great work to hold up the ball for the opening goal, had several attempts blocked in frustrating afternoon in terms of chances.

Substitutes

George Thomason - 6

Added some fresh energy after coming on in the middle of the park.

Arthur Gnahoua - 5

Went to the right flank and had a few shots blocked.

Nathan Delfouneso - 5

Played in behind Doyle after replacing Lee, put in dangerous ball for Doyle but gave away free kick which led to Exeter winner.

Shaun Miller - 5

Came on in closing stages but had few chances.
