Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Doncaster Rovers - Bodvarsson, Aimson & Trafford great in win

James Trafford - 8

Made a couple of first half stops from Aidan Barlow before half-time who appeared to be one of Donny's dangermen and made marvellous stop after the break to deny the Rovers man and a free-kick not long after.

Gethin Jones - 7

Came out of the back three often to shadow opposition players and got forward when he could to get the ball moving forwards.

Will Aimson - 8

Made some vital interceptions when needed to keep the hosts at bay in a great defensive display in the heart of the back three.

George Johnston - 7

Generally a solid precence at the back but booked in the second half as he appeared to tire after a long run of games.

Kieran Sadlier - 7.5

Was booed by the home fans with his every touch of the ball but put in some decent crosses at times and scored peach of a volley to put Wanderers back in front.

Aaron Morley - 7

A threat with his set piece deliveries and long passes lovely to behold when they come off. A solid outing in central midfield from January signing.

MJ Williams - 7

Booked early on in encounter for first real foul of the game, but generally a decent showing in the middle of the park.

George Thomason - 7

Handed first start since mid-January and showed good energy and work rate in the middle but was booked midway through first half. Replaced with 15 minutes left.

Declan John - 7

Very bright in the final third at times on the left flank with some dangerous balls and link-up play.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 8

Great showing from Iceland international upfront who caused problems often for the hosts. Fantastic work to steal possession and tee up Bakayoko for opening goal.

Amadou Bakayoko - 7

Handed start alongside Bodvarsson and looked bright but was perhaps fortunate to still be on the pitch after first half tackle on Adam Clayton which resulted in booking. However, took chance when it came to him after break.

Substitutes:

Dion Charles - 6

Replaced Bakayoko with more than 20 minutes remaining. Great work rate as always.

Dapo Afolayan - 6.5

Put in cross which led to Sadlier's volley for the second Wanderers goal.

Elias Kachunga - 6

Came on along with Afolayan after the break for remaining 15 minutes or so. Kept ball alive for Afolayan to put in cross for Sadlier.
